NUCCRA is the peak body for the carpet cleaning and restoration industries. We believe that to perform work at a professional standard recognised industry training is a must. Carpet is quite complex and varied in construction.There are three main types of carpet produced in Australia; woven carpet, tufted carpet and modular carpet. the three major fibres used in carpets are nylon (polyamide), wool and polypropylene (polyolefin), and carpets can contain mixtures of different types of fibres. In addition, every manufacturer has recommended cleaning procedures to ensure that their carpet is not damaged and stays looking good.It takes a skilled professional to be able to determine the type of carpet and recommend the most appropriate cleaning procedures. NUCCRA members have access to ongoing training & skills updates through partner training providers.
